Brewing

Traditional Dry Irish Stout

We use no less tham 5 malt and wheat varieties to make our traditional dry Irish stout.

This diverse malt combination is brought to life through our carefully managed mashing and boiling process.

Technology

Draft beer in cans

Nitrogenation was used in stouts to approximate the smooth carbonation typical of cask conditioned ales and has become the norm for kegged Irish stout, giving a smooth creamy texture to the head.

Taste & aroma

Rich and complex coffee aroma

On the nose the drinker experiences a rich and complex coffee aroma with light liquorice notes.

A generous addition of Fuggle hops leads to a tart bitterness which mingles with the roast espresso flavours on the tongue.

Quality and authenticity

The flagship of the O’Hara’s brand, this uniquely Irish stout brings one back to how Irish stouts used to taste.

First brewed in 1999, it has since been awarded prestigious honours for its quality and authenticity.
